"Whoo" says there are no creative and fun craft projects for older kids?! You’ll have a hoot making two uber-soft wool felt owls! Felting is addictively fun (in a good way), and as crafts go, it's pretty tidy too. Roll the wool together, shape it, and then tighten and combine it using the included needles.

The owl kit is "intermediate" level so consider trying your talents first with an easy-level bunny before taking on the owl. Like all of our felting kits, these owls are great decoration almost anywhere in the house. Kit Includes soft Corriedale wool in marigold, grey, white, black, as well as a pipe cleaner, two felting needles and clear, photo instructions. Makes two owls about 2.75 inches tall. We don't recommend this craft kit for unsupervised children under 10 because of the felting needles. Age 10+.
